Pizzeria Gino Sorbillo Restaurant, Milan - Centre

Organic, authentic pizzas with cult following

featured in Restaurants Updated

Famous pizzaiolo (pizza chef) Gino Antonio Sorbillo has brought his pizza from Naples to Milan. Made with organic ingredients, their celebrated dough incorporates sea water.

This is your chance to try the real Neapolitan pizza made with simple ingredients such as San Marzano tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, basil and buffala mozzarella, on a paper-thin crust cooked in a wood-fire oven. There are also starters such as salads, rice and meat balls (arancini ) or salami.

They don't accept reservations, so there can be a queue outside. Open every day for lunch (12:00-15:30) and dinner (19:00-23:30) until they sell out their limit of 400 pizzas per day.

  • "Sorbillo is simply the best pizza in Milan. Period. Besides pizza, choices are limited, with only mozzarella being interesting. If you go to Sorbillo it must be for eating its wonderful, incredibly large pizza" -
  • "They spend a day preparing the kneading with a proper rising process. They use a mix of 0 flour and wholemeal flour, most of the ingredients are bio and some are DOP, like Sant Marzano's tomatoes. Every pizza is properly prepared and cooked. They currently serve only 400 pizzas per day. I tried the Margherita with Bufala and it was delicious. It was really worth the waiting. Honestly priced, especially considering the super central location." - Trip Advisor
  • "My friend (who lives in Milan) took us here for pizza and we were not disappointed! Pizzas were HUGE and delicious and the service was fast and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed :)" - Trip Advisor
